Chaluka Salgado is currently a PhD Student at Clayton School of Information Technology, Monash University,Australia. He received his B.Sc. Special Degree in Computer Science from the Department of Statistics and Computer Science,University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2014. His main research interests are Spatial Databases, Social Networks and Database Query Processing. More specifically, his research focuses on Geo-Social Networks.

Biography:

Zhou Shao is currently a PhD candidate at Monash University (2015 to now). He is supervised by Assoc. Prof. David Taniar and Dr. Muhammad Aamir Chemma. Prior to be a PhD candidate in Monash, he completed his Bachelor degree of Computer Science in Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China, from 2008-2012. He obtained Master of Information Technology (Honours) in Monash University, Australia, from 2013-2014. His research interests include indoor data management.

She completed her Bachelor of Computer Science at RMIT from 2009 to 2012. She obtained her Honors of Computer Science degree (first class) at UNSW from 2012 to 2013. The research problem addressed in the thesis was Efficiently Monitoring Reverse k Nearest Neighbors in Spatial Networks

Biography:

Wei Song is currently a PhD student in School of Computer Science and Engineering, the University of New South Wales, Australia. He received his Bachelor degree in software engineering, 2011 from Nankai University, Tianjin,China. Wei started his Phd study since 2013 with the topic of spatial keyword search. His research focuses on k-nearest neighbour queries and reverse k-nearest neighbour queries in spatial database. He had been the external reviewer of many database conferences e.g., VLDB, ICDE, DASFAA, WAIM, DEXA. Wei has received his Australian Postgraduate Award since 2014.
